Founded in 1958 by Elna Lorentzen, the Women’s Auxiliary helps raise funds for The Danish Home of Chicago. The purpose is to assist in the social well-being of the beloved residents at The Danish Home and to help improve their quality of life. The Women’s Auxiliary consists of a dedicated team of 21 board members and over 200 members. New members are always welcome and appreciated. The Women’s Auxiliary luncheons provide an opportunity to get together with new and old friends while supporting a good cause, meeting residents and learning firsthand about this wonderful senior living community. Save April 14 for our Annual Spring Luncheon.
May 23 is the date for the Annual Salad Luncheon at The Danish Home features Chef Roger’s famous chicken salad and 21 delectable side salads made by the Auxiliary ladies.
The Danish Home Anniversary Luncheon is slated for September 16. We have a few new ideas for this annual favorite that we’ll be sharing with you this fall.
The Danish Home Brunch and Women’s Auxiliary Annual Meeting, sponsored by the Women’s Auxiliary, wows attendees and includes Scandinavian favorites, herring, blue cheese and pumpernickel. Save October 13 for this special event.
