There is no place like The Danish Home.
You have found a rare treasure when you come to The Danish Home. Our boutique senior living community that provides Indepedent, catered and skilled living is like none other! We are delighted to share how our philosophy of inclusiveness and genuine esteem for our elders defines the difference in the lives of seniors – usually improving their overall health and well-being significantly.
The Danish Home is a boutique community with less than 50 residents and 25 staff. Our size is quite unique for a senior living community and allows for close-knit friendships and personal relationships with staff. Loneliness disappears here. Fellow residents and frequent volunteers become family who watch out for each other, dine together, and share stories and memories. In our community, there’s no place like our home.
What not-for-profit means to you
The Danish Home was founded in 1891 by 12 Danish women in the Danish tradition of caring for its elderly. We continue their legacy today as a not-for-profit organization, privately-financed and endowed to extend comfortable, dignified lifecare for the elder regardless of their nationality. We adhere to the convenants of Equal Housing Opportunity and Fair Housing Act. Medicare and Medicaid are not accepted at The Danish Home to pay for your rent.
As a not-for-profit community we are mission-focused, not profit-focused. As such, our residents and generous donors are investing in the preservation of this special place and focused on the needs of coming generations. Excellent financial stewardship supports these goals.
Your cash flow benefits from the rental payment structure we offer. You may also qualify for The Home’s Advantage Progran that assuses that you are protected by the Charitable Care program. If you qualify, it enables you to remain at The Danish Home should your finanacial resources be exhausted through no fault of your own.
“Everyone at The Danish Home plays a role in the well-being of our residents. We have created an environment that nurtures good health and independence to the best of each resident’s capability.”
