The Danish Home of Chicago, a not-for-profit senior living community with over 130 years of heritage, proudly announces the expansion of its Norwood Park campus, offering new Independent Living and Healthcare accommodations, along with beautifully designed common spaces to enrich the lives of current and future residents.
The thoughtfully planned expansion includes newly constructed Independent Living Garden Suites, ranging from 614 to 839 square feet, each designed with comfort and convenience in mind. These spacious apartments feature a kitchenette with apartment-style refrigerator and microwave, 1.5 bathrooms, walk-in closet, individual heating and cooling control, and abundant natural light from large windows. Laundry services are included in the rent, offering residents a truly maintenance-free lifestyle.
The expansion also adds Healthcare Garden Suites located on the first floor, offering tranquil courtyard views and a warm, home-like atmosphere for residents in need of skilled nursing care.
To further support community and connection, The Danish Home has also added several elegant common spaces, including a new Dining Room, Bistro, Living Room, Private Dining Room, and modernized Bathrooms. These areas have been carefully designed to encourage social engagement, relaxation, and shared experiences among residents, their families, and staff.
“We are thrilled to expand on our tradition of excellence in senior care by offering these new, beautifully appointed living spaces and gathering areas,” said Scott Swanson, executive director at The Danish Home. “This investment in our campus reflects our continued commitment to providing compassionate care in a warm, family-oriented environment.”
