What Not-For-Profit Means to You
The Danish Home was founded in 1891 by 12 Danish women in the Danish tradition of caring for its elderly. We continue their legacy today as a not-for-profit organization, privately-financed and endowed to extend comfortable, dignified lifecare for the elder regardless of their nationality. We adheres to the convenants of Equal Housing Opportunity and Fair Housing. Medicare and Medicaid are not accepted at the Danish Home to pay for your rent.
As a not-for-profit community we are mission-focused, not profit-focused. As such, our residents and generous donors are investing in the preservation of this special place and focused on the needs of coming generations. Excellent financial stewardship supports these goals.
Your cash flow benefits from the rental payment structure we offer. You may also qualify for The Home’s Advantage Progran that assuses that you are protected by the Charitable Care program. If you qualify, it enables you to remain at The Danish Home should your finanacial resources be exhausted through no fault of your own.
