We did it again! For the second month in a row, The Danish Home of Chicago residents and guests enjoyed the festive monthly birthday celebration in our beautiful garden and relaxing patio. The weather sure cooperated and was a perfect 75 degrees.
Thanks to this month’s sponsor, the Danish Sisterhood Dagmar Lodge #4 of Chicago. Danish Home resident Karen Frink was the MC. Dagmar Lodge #4 officers Jean Jackson and Debi Lathom brought greetings from the Danish Sisterhood. Women’s Auxiliary board members helped serve residents and guests as they enjoyed coffee, tea, water, Danish buttered rolls with raisins, Danish layer cake and the chance to win some wonderful prizes from the gift table. The Danish Home’s President/CEO Scott L. Swanson announced The Danish Home Foundation’s annual benefit fundraiser and “Lillejuleaften” celebration will take place Saturday, December 18 at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook. Please mark your calendars for this event and also remember the monthly birthday parties are on the third Wednesday of each month at 2p.m.
